Here is a quick guideline on how to wear your accessories.
DO - HAVE A THEME THEME
If your going to pile on the accessories thats ok, just make sure your working with a theme. Start by choosing your main piece, it might be a belt, a statement necklace, a pair of earrings etc. Then build your look around that one piece, that's the easiest way to achieve a flowing look.
For example: If your main piece is Pearls, or Crystals, incorporate some other pieces with some pearls or crystals. If your main piece is Chunky Metal, stick with other simple metal pieces.
DO - WEAR GOLD AND SILVER TOGETHER
Most of us stick to all gold or all silver accessories to be safe but you don't have to! Mixing different tones looks awesome when its done right. The main thing is to avoid looking mis-matched. This is where its important to keep a theme or flow to your look. The easiest, fool-proof way to do this is incorporate at least one two-tone piece to tie the look together. A two-tone necklace with a pair of gold earrings and a silver bangle is an easy way to try this look.
DO - MATCH YOUR ACCESSORIES TO YOUR OUTFIT
You don't want your accessories to stand out in an odd way, they are meant to complement your look. It's important to choose pieces that are right fore the outfit your wearing. If your outfit has a lot of colour and patterns, simple bold jewelry would look best. On the other hand, if your outfit is simple and monochramatic, you could choose to also wear bold simple jewelry,or you can incorporate some pattern and texture with your accessories.
